How it Works with JD Kitchens

This is where your new kitchen begins. Where you can rely on our expertise, our design flair and our commitment to work with you every step of the way, so that together, we’ll create your perfect kitchen.

1. Prepare for your Consultation

The first step involves you submitting in an inquiry or booking a consultation online. You can submit your plans, rough dimensions and photos of the room (don’t worry, we’ll come out and do a survey to check the measurements later!) One of our designers will be in touch with a brief phone call to discuss your project. From this, you can decide if you wish to have an appointment first or quotation.

2. Receive a design and quote

After your consultation you’ll receive an initial quote. To review the design with one of our designers, simply get in touch. We’ll arrange an appointment for you, either in our showroom or online to go through the details and discuss any changes you might need.

3. Meet with your JD Kitchen designer

We’ll arrange an appointment for you to visit our Ashbourne showroom and schedule a 3d consultation, where you’ll meet your designer to discuss what you want from your new kitchen and any other space in your home, take you through our ranges, answer any questions and then start work on your design. Please note that appointments booked through online software are to discuss your project in detail and begin the design process.

4. Choosing JD Kitchens

If you’re happy with your design and would like to give us the opportunity to bring your dream kitchen to life, you can pay a deposit of 1,000 to go on our installations calendar, receive your technical drawings. Once your kitchen is ready to be surveyed, We will come out to do a home survey to update your dimensions.

5. Final adjustments

We will then book another consultation with you, to choose finishes, colours, handles, appliances and anything else you have been dreaming about. At this stage the design is signed off and a workshop file is prepared for our cabinet makers, and made in our in house – workshop. A deposit of 50% is required on sign off. It is at this stage that we can finalise an installation date

6. Installation

Installation takes approximately 2-3 days for a kitchen, more if we are looking after other areas in your home. If you have chosen quartz, Dekton or natural stone worktops our supplier will come to your home to take measurements once the cabinetry has been installed. They will return within approximately 5-10 working days to install your worktops. Your plumber can now connect up your sink, tap, dishwasher etc and your electrician can connect your hob. Once installation is complete, your kitchen is ready for use and your final payment is due.
